Bloody Mary

Happy New Year everyone!

Tonight is NYE and chances are, tomorrow you’ll be in recovery from the celebrations and might need a bit of a kick– so here’s my recipe for a spicy, strong Bloody Mary. Pretty much everything in this drink is subject to taste– whatever you can handle, go for that. There are also a lot of optional ingredients, but it’s fair to say that with at least the first three, you’re in business. This is how I like mine.

Vodka (2oz)DSC_1445

Tomato Juice (fill but leave room for the rest of the ingredients, then top off at the end)DSC_1448

Tabasco (a few shakes, I use about 4)DSC_1458
Lemon Juice (1 tsp)DSC_1452
Olive Brine (1 tbsp)DSC_1450

Horse Radish (1/2-1 tsp)DSC_1451
Salt and Pepper (two grinds/shakes each)

Worcestershire Sauce/A1 Steak Sauce (1 tbsp)

Throw everything together and give it a shake over ice, or at least a good stir.

Chances are you’re in no mood to be garnishing a drink, but if you’re serving to others and you want it to look good, use a celery stick and/or a couple of olives on a cocktail stick.
